A
view of Newport Harbor from the tip of Balboa Peninsula. The rocks across
the water are a decent place to climb in the fall and spring. WAY too many
tourists in the summer!
Local
wildlife on Newport Beach.

A
shot of the canal that separates Balboa Island from a smaller island.
A
view of the waves and a sailboat from my first weekend in California and
from the first time that I saw the Pacific Ocean.
There
was a sidewalk art display near Balboa pier just as the summer ended in
2003. Some of them were incredible! This one came together so beautifully.
The
color and detail in this one was also very nice. The dove was the very last
part to be painted.
St.
George slaying the dragon. My favorite piece done that day. Not only was
it huge and detailed, but I feel a connection to the subject after spending
so much time in Basel, Switzerland where the actual incident happened. I
mentioned it to the artist and she didn't know that there was a actual St.
George. She thought it was all a fairytale. Click on the picture and you'll
see a epic of the original painting and you can decide for yourself how
well the artist did.
This
Pacific sunset was captured on Thanksgiving Day 2003 on the beach of Balboa
Peninsula.
