One
of the famed Joshua Trees in Joshua Tree National Monument. These trees
can live 200+ years in a alternately baking (ALL summer) and freezing
(a couple of months during the winter) climate. |

This is one of the formations near the Hidden Valley campground. So that you can get a feel for the size, the orange speck at the bottom middle of the formation is a guy who is about 6’ tall. |
