2001 & 2002
Taken in and around Wiel am Rhine in the Southwestern Black Forest

This was a crazy built house near the Laguna. It was built to be very used industrial looking, there were iron and wood sculptors in the front and the entire side (pictured) opened up and the was a cat walk up top. A very cool house, but I don't think that I could live there.

A farmers freshly plowed field just before a rain.

A field of standing wheat.

Freshly plowed fields and a blue sky just before sunset and a night of thunderstorms.

Some sort of agricultural utility vehicle. I looked like a tiller mounted to a trailer.

A grave yard in Lorroch just across from the Milka Chocolate Factory outlet store. EVERYONE needs to go to the outlet store! The chocolate is SUPER cheap and really good. It can be bought for pennies on the dollar there as well.

A row of trees in the Lorroch graveyard.

In the Laguna, a sports complex, there was this very cool sculptor of a dragon the went on for maybe 150 yards from head to tail. The sculptor was also a playground.

A model timber frame German house in the Laguna.

Outdoor kitchen at the model house.

Detail of timber frame joinery at the house.

A shot of benches and one of the many walking paths at the Laguna.

A rock bridge through a stream on a running path that I used. I ran in the Laguna complex again and again during my time in Basel. It was just across the border and had so many great trails that led into the trees, connected to paths along canals, and that popped out of the woods into fields of manicured green.

A bunker converted into a little stage area near the front entrance of the Laguna

These little yellow flowers were in bloom everywhere at the Laguna while I was there.
