The Cookie Oven/Cavern of Doom

Here ya go! Not too bad for an old guy...

Last time I was in Hidden Valley, the road was dirt. Now it's like some
tourist trap bus stop!

At the end of the road right before it loops there is an entrance to the
"Hidden Valley Loop" Take the path and circle around the first rock
formation to the left. Continue to head left (south), as you pass the back of that first rock formation, look up to your left and find the "hook". See photo for the other clue... the stacked rocks. The entrance is right under the hook. A photo of the entrance is enclosed to verify your in the right spot.

Note the mini caves on the colum on the right. Enter the staircase and
keep climbing. The path opens up to a wonderful view of the valley under a large ledge rock. The entrance to the "cookie oven" was on the left towards the back... right about where you see the concrete and boulders piled up..... Damn! There is now a large triangular rock right where you used to drop down. The program was... Drop down, lay on your back and wiggle between two parallel slabs thru a 8 foot flat spot with an opening that is about 15" tall. Once thru the oven, you drop to the ground, about three feet if no one's there to spot you, get up and continue to follow the cave/path until you reach the bottom entrance on the other (front) side.

Too bad the oven's plugged up, but it is still a great cave to explore...

THANKS BRIAN!!
